I haven't written anything on here for ages, but not that anyone noticed because I never publicise this website, in fact I publicise it so little I sometimes forget its existence. Anyhow, I'm here now and I'll write this whether any one reads it or not.
I haven't updated this since Edinburgh. I could only make it up for a few days this year because of bloody work, but I had a fun time, the original plan was to do a double header with the good and funny Andy Barr, but he also had bloody work so it went from a poorly orgainsed double header to a poorly orgainsed compilation show. When I was up there I played to audiences ranging from 1-20, not great but valuable experience stage time blah blah blah.
Plus our flyer was described by one comic as "the worst he'd ever seen" although a lot of people liked it, but it couldn't entice radio DJ Tony Blackburn into coming when I gave it to him, so make up your own mind about it. Both mine and Andy's flyering technique was pretty dire that could also explain the lack of audience.
However being up in da 'burgh and seeing all the bloody great shit my peers were churning out (that is a compliment, pretty much all shows I saw were excellent) reaffirmed the fact that I need to bite the bullet and just do a one man, one hour Edinburgh show.
So that's what I'm doing, the long road to Edinburgh starts on Friday night where I will giving my show its debut outing, it's called 'The Greedy, Ugly People' named after a Hefner song, but that is likely to change by Edinburgh (I already renamed it for Leicester) I'm really looking forward to it, and I am sharing the bill with Alex Kealy and Andy Barr so they will be good if I am not.
Here are all the deets, take a look at my bio page on that website, it shows up how terrible I am at self promotion.
It's free, and I think some money somehow gets to go to charity somewhere down the line so there is no fucking excuse why you can't come and tell me that I'm way out of my depth and should stick to doing 5s at the Chuckle Munter in Stratford on Monday afternoon.
